Hi, I'm Jen and I am so glad you're here!
I love traveling with my paintbox and camera, learning new things, browsing thrift stores and reviving old things, being in nature ( I grew up in rural Vermont!,) yoga with adriene every morning before coffee, getting lost chasing sunsets and foggy mornings, and being a homebody with my camera-shy husband and infamous cat, Mikey. Recently I have been taking pottery classes and I am falling in love…
Whether I'm painting outdoors or behind the lens, my passion for observation shines through. I offer painting commissions, photography services, and art instruction.

How did I get here?
With a four-year Certificate of Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and a BFA from the University of Pennsylvania, I have been honing my craft for over 25 years.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with various arts organizations, from grassroots to major institutions, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art. As the former Director of Education at The Delaware Contemporary, I have dedicated myself to sharing my passion for the arts through education, and creating community.
My artistic practice encompasses drawing, painting, and photography, all rooted in the process of observation. Whether capturing a scene en plein air, through the lens of my camera, or in my studio, I strive to convey emotion, narrative, and memory through light and atmosphere.
I am available for painting commissions, private and group instruction, family and commercial photography, as well as residencies both in the U.S. and abroad. I am a lifelong learner, always seeking new challenges and opportunities to connect with fellow creatives.
