What an honor it has been working with Kenny Family ShopRite Stores social media team, getting to know, through on-site photo sessions, the individuals who make their workplace feel like home.
When I would visit the seven stores, I'd capture a variety of images including products, and displays. The bakery, produce, and floral departments were fun subjects, but what was most enjoyable for me was meeting the people, hearing their story, and taking their portrait.
I'd approach associates while they worked, chat for a quick minute and ask to take their portrait. FAMILY was the thread woven into just about every discussion. I heard the term "we're a big family" more than not. In my opinion, The People make the Place - so cheers to all of you who help to create community and family where you are. It is so necessary in every way, for our collective humanity. I've enjoyed being a small part of that community, meeting and chatting with each and every person I 've photographed, from Newark to the Brandywine!
